French investors invited to develop 57 projects in Vietnam

28 Vietnamese cities and provinces invited French investors to develop 57 projects worth over US $7.1 million in various fields from health care, environment, agriculture and tourism to industrial park infrastructure, seaport and logistics, etc, promising to bring potential cooperation in the future.

"The Vietnam – France Investment and Trade Promotion Seminar" was held on September 15th with the topic " The cooperation in sustainable agriculture and tourism" organised by Can Tho's People's Committee and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Such seminar attracted the participation of 34 cities, provinces and 50 enterprises across Vietnam along with representatives of 4 France's cities including Brest, Choisy-le-Roi, Rennes, the Urban Community Grand Périgueux and 20 enterprises. 

According to VCCI's chapter in Can Tho, as of September 2016, Vietnam drew 469 French projects with a total registered capital of US $3.43 billion. France occupies the 16th out of 166 countries and territories investing in Vietnam. Especially, in the Mekong Delta, France have invested 22 projects worth nearly US $115 million.
