Hanoi attracts 445 FDI projects
PSNews - "Over the past 10 months of 2016, Hanoi attracted 445 Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) projects with total registered capital of US$2.8 billion, up by 2.6 times compared to 2015", Mr. Tran Ngoc Nam, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment unveiled.

Large FDI projects include the US $300-million research and development centre of Samsung Electronics Viet Nam; the US $227-million Duong River Surface Water Treatment Plant and the Vietnamobile's capital increasing plan of US $208 million.

Hanoi also attracted and implemented 98 Official Development Assistance (ODA) projects with the donors’ committed capital of US $4.8 billion, including US $1.05 billion of disbursed capital, reaching 33.38% of the signed value and 22.1% of the committed value.
Urban traffic infrastructure development (making up 56%) and waste water treatment (representing 31.8%) are the two biggest ODA projects.
As reported, about 22,000 enterprises have been established by this time of 2016, up by 19% and with registered capital of VND 203,000 billion, up by 42%.
