On 12 and 13 October, a business-to-business meeting entitled “Lifestyle Made in Italia”, held in Hanoi by the Italian Chamber of Commerce (ICHAM) in Vietnam, attracted the participation of a number of Italian furniture and stone manufacturers and importers, real estate groups, high-end architecture companies from Japan, South Korea, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, India and Vietnam.
According to the ICHAM’s representative, the program will also promote Vietnam's economy to regional businesses and contribute to making Vietnam become a strategic gateway to Asia’s market for businesses and investors from Italia.
Bilateral trade between Vietnam and Italia increased from US $ 1.13 billion in 2006 to more than US $ 4.5 billion in 2016.
Over the past ten years, Vietnam has become the Italia's largest trading partner in ASEAN while Italia is the eighth largest trading partner of Vietnam.
