PSNews - Resolutions No.98/NQ-CP issued by the Government on October 3 pays special attention to the reform of business conditions.

The Resolution articulates, "The removal of barriers and unnecessary and unreasonable business conditions to expand market access and promote fair and equitable competition" is one of the five major tasks to develop private sector as an important driving force for the national economy.

The Government has accordingly assigned ministries and Central agencies to continue to review, evaluate and remove at least one third to one half of the current business conditions in management and administrative procedures that hinder businesses' investment activities.

The Ministry of Planning and Investment to promptly finalize a decree on controlling and enhancing the quality of business conditions to submit to the Government in December 2017.

The Ministry of Justice to closely monitor the issuance of legal normative documents on business conditions that opposed to jurisdiction.

The Government in fact requested a comprehensive reform of regulations of business conditions a few years ago, but the task has now really been given a first and foremost priority.

In September, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIT) proposed a cut of  675 business conditions under its management.

At a Cabinet meeting on October 3, the PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc highly appreciated the recent move of the MIT, hailing it as a "common lesson for other ministries."
