More Vietnamese tourists visit Korea

• Hanoi holds tourism connecting event targeting Australian partners
• Northern mountainous district rolls out measures to develop tourism

With the theme “Beauty”, this event reflects people’s interests in beauty in general, and highlights the booming K-Beauty craze and fondness for Korean cosmetics in Vietnam. The organizers aim to introduce a new tourist programs with a focus on the beauty and fashions of Seoul.

This year marks 27 years of the establishment of Vietnam – Republic of Korea diplomatic ties so Seoul is actively promoting its relations with key cities of Vietnam, said Byeon Dong Hyeon, an organizer of the event.

Over the past 3 years, the number of Vietnamese tourists to the Republic of Korea has increased by 41% per year, making Vietnam an important market for Seoul tourism. Moreover, exchange activities between the two sides have been promoted and more direct flights have been opened.
