The appearance of two new versions will increase the total number of Hyundai Tucson models in Vietnam market to four and strengthen the car’s competitiveness with competitors in the segment of 5 seat-crossovers.

Two uncovered brand-new Tucson 2017 model cars, thought to have been assembled at the Hyundai plant in Vietnam’s Ninh Binh province, has just been seen running in Hanoi's road.

The most attention-grabbing version is the Tucson Turbo model, which will come with a 19-inch sports tray, dual-spindles and a turbo logo on the rear. This version uses a 1.6L turbocharged engine with 177 horsepowers and dual 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

Meanwhile, the second model to be introduced in Vietnam will come with a 2.0 liter diesel engine, which produces a healthy 185 hp of power at 4,000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque between 1,750 rpm to 2,750 rpm. Both engines have the option of a 6-speed manual and an automatic transmission, which is a good thing since the customer has the complete freedom of choosing, irrespective of the fuel choice s/he makes.

In particular, it is likely that the new Tucson model will be assembled at the Hyundai plant in Ninh Binh province, giving the price advantage to rivals such as the CX-5 or CR-V.

The current Hyundai Tucson model in Vietnam is the 3rd generation, which was first introduced back then at the Geneva Motor Show. The new Tucson features upgradements and improvements in both exterior styling and interior equipments as well as the engine’s performance.

The crossover’s length x width x height is 4.475 x 1.850 x 1.660mm respectively, featuring a more elegant design. Exterior styling inherits traces from its brother Santa Fe with typical aerodynamic bodylines from the brand’s design philosophy “Fluidic Sculpture 2.0”.

LED daytime running lights are arranged on both the headlight and the foglight sections. 3D taillights make Tucson stand out among other European luxury cars.
