New season Australian cherries - now back in Vietnam

New season Australian cherries are coming back to Vietnam with the first shipments arriving this month.


The Australian Horticulture Innovation, together with the support of the Australian Government, will launch a series of “Taste Australia - Cherries Now in Season!” promotional activities in stores and retailers across Vietnam to celebrate this special occasion.

The launch events are be held on 12 December in Hanoi and 14 December in Ho Chi Minh City, after which shoppers and families can take advantage of preferential pricing with tasting opportunities every weekend until 21 January 2018 at participating stores: Aeon Malls, An Nam Gourmet, Big C, Giant, Klever Fruits, MM Mega Market, US Mart

H.E Mr. Craig Chittick, Australian Ambassador to Vietnam said, one of Australia’s favourite fruits, Australian cherries are enjoyed in more than 30 countries worldwide. This reputation is enhanced by clean and green credentials forged by world-class food safety management and quality assurance systems and the environmental stewardship of our farmers and land managers.

Australian cherries are known for their superior colour, which ranges from red to deep burgundy and signals health-promoting properties.

The Australian cherry season lasts just 100 days, spanning the spring and summer months.
