Over 11,000 tons of aluminum hydroxide exported to Korea and Japan

PSNews – Vinacomin is negotiating with its partners to export another 15,000 - 20,000 tons of aluminium to Japan this month.

Dak Nong Aluminum Company under the Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (Vinacomin) exported 11,600 tons of aluminum hydroxide to Korea and Japan on February 5th.

According to Mr. Ngo To Ninh, Vice Director of Dak Nong Aluminum Company, this was the first batch of its exports in the Year of the Rooster, and that the export cost USD $140/ton. It has also been the biggest batch since November 2016.

In addition, Vinacomin is negotiating with its partners to export another 15,000 - 20,000 tons of aluminium to Japan this month.

Nhan Co Aluminium Factory in Dak Nong, which started to be built from June 2007, with total investment of over VND 16.8 trillion and production capacity of 650,000 tons of aluminum per year, has been a key project of Vinacomin.

Currently, the factory is on trial run. As scheduled, EPC entrepreneur will hand over this factory to Vinacomin in the first quarter of 2017 to start commercial operation.

As of February 2017, the factory produced 60,000 tons of aluminium and 33,000 tons of aluminium hydroxide.
