The Government and relevant agencies of Vietnam vow to offer favourable conditions and business environment for Japanese firms to run business in the country, he told his guest while hailing business and investment activities of Fast Retailing in Vietnam.

With its population of more than 96 million, Vietnam is seen as a potential market for Japanese apparel products. Japanese businesses’ operations in Vietnam will contribute to fostering strategic partnership between the two nations, the Vietnamese government leader said.

Yanai Tadashi, in turn, said his firm will develop a retail system in Vietnam in the time to come, with a particular focus on garment and textile products.

Since last November, Fast Retailing has offered training programmes for Vietnamese students in Japan and Southeast Asian nations, so as to make them representatives of Fast Retailing in Vietnam as well as in other countries across the globe.

He asked the Vietnamese Government to direct competent agencies to grant construction and retail licenses to the group, making it easier to expand investment and business activities in Vietnam.

For his part, PM Phuc assigned the Ministry of Planning and Investment, relevant ministries and sectors to deal with the group’s proposal.
