As one of the key events within the framework of the Annual Area Meeting of the Italian Chambers of Commerce in Asia and South Africa, this year’s business forum focused on promoting connections between the Vietnamese market and international markets as well as proposing strategies to help Italian enterprises enhance their investment in Asia and South Africa.

Speaking at the forum, Ambassador Nguyen Nguyet Nga shared that the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Italy has been further deepened, and serves as a solid foundation for growth of two-way trade. The Vietnamese government will create favorable conditions relating to import - export procedures for Italian and Vietnamese exporters to intensify their connections.

According to the Italian Chamber of Commerce (ICHAM) in Vietnam, in 2016, Italian investment in Vietnam reached over USD 360 million with 78 projects while two-way trade was valued at USD 4.6 billion.

In the coming time, ICHAM will especially focus on role of local authorities of the two countries, and strive to thrive on bilateral relations to obtain more ambitious achievements.
