Shim Won Hwan to serve as Samsung Vietnam CEO

PSNews - Samsung Electronics on May 17th officially appointed Mr. ShimWon Hwan to CEO of Samsung Vietnam. This was the second time he had been appointed to the Samsung Vietnam CEO since 2010.

Speaking on his first day in his capacity as the Samsung Vietnam CEO, Shim said: "Samsung Vietnam's management board and I will try our best to contribute to the country's socio-economic development while maintaining the leading position of Samsung Vietnam in the world."

Shim Won Hwan, 58, has more than 33 years of working experience at the Samsung Electronics Group since his graduation from Kyunpook National University. He has held several important positions at Samsung, especially in human resources development and management, and the general director of the Gumi Plant in South Korea, since 2015.

In Viet Nam, Shim will be mainly responsible for external relationships, public relations, environment, health and safety, administrative and human resources.

Mr. Han Myoung Sup, who has just finished his two-year-and-a-half office term of Vietnam Samsung CEO, will return to South Korea to take over new responsibilities.
