A new steel-hulled fishing vessel with investment cost of VND 18 billion and operating range of 1500 nautical miles has been handed over to fisherman Phan Thanh Tri in Phu Dong commune, Tuy Hoa City.

With total cost of VND 18 billion sourced from Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam. The Huong Bien 01 fishing vessel was designed to be 27.88 m in length, 7.2 m width and 3.15m height.

It is equipped with devices of GPS, VHF, and other necessary devices and equipment to operate offshore continually for 30 days.

Steel shells with high load capacity not only ensure safety for fishermen at sea and help to increase the productivity and quality of fishing activities, but also encourage fishermen to steer their vessels into traditional fishing grounds, firmly asserting and protecting Vietnam’s sovereignty over its seas and islands.
