US remains the largest importer of Vietnamese garments and textiles

PSNews – According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, as of August 15, the value of a number of Vietnamese export lines reached one billion USD and above.

Of the major export lines, five had an export turnover of 10 billion USD and above, up by two export lines compared to the same period in 2018.
These five largest export lines are telephones and components, computers, electronics and components, textile and garment, footwear, and machinery, equipment and spare parts.
Telephones and components remain Vietnam's most valued export line.
As of August 15, the total export turnover of telephones and components reached 30.33 billion USD, up by 6.2% compared to the same period last year.
The US remained the largest importer of Vietnamese garments and textiles, with a total value of 8.49 billion USD, increasing 10.1% compared to the same period last year, and accounting for 46.1% of the total Vietnamese garment and textile exports.
