The 2017 Vietbuild international exhibition opened in Hanoi on March 15 with the participation of 450 domestic and foreign businesses.

New products and services in the field of construction, building materials, real estate, and interior and exterior decoration are being put on show at 1,700 pavilions.

Deputy Minister of Construction Bui Pham Khanh said the ministry has proposed the Government promulgate and implement a number of policies on the management of building activities.

With the enforcement of the Law on Housing and the Law on Real Estate Business, the property market has been developing in a stable and transparent manner, attracting a huge amount of foreign investment, he said, adding that the rapid urbanisation has pushed the growth of the market.

Chairman of the Vietnam Real Estate Association Nguyen Tran Nam said the exhibition has become a venue for construction businesses to promote trade and cooperation.

As the first of its kind in Hanoi this year, the event will run until March 19, including two workshops on non-baked construction materials.

The second Vietbuild Hanoi 2017 is scheduled to take place from May 17-21 with over 1,350 booths and the third one from November 10-14 with 1,700 pavilions.
