Vietnam’s import-export turnover reaches US$ 400 billion
PSNews – Deputy Prime Minister VuongDinh Hue and leaders of the Ministry of Finance and relevant ministries on December 19 attended a ceremony to mark Vietnam’s reached export-import turnover of US$ 400 billion, a new milestone of the Vietnamese economy.

In 2001, Vietnam’s total import-export turnover was only US$ 30 billion. The figure reached US$ 100 billion in 2007, after Vietnam officially became a member the World Trade Organization. The number doubled in 2011 and reached US$ 300 in 2015.
The export-import revenue of Vietnam is expected to reach US$ 410 billion by the end of 2017.
Minister of Finance Dinh Tien Dung emphasized that the new record of Vietnam’s export-import turnover has born great significance for Vietnam’s economy and marked a big development in Vietnam’s international integration.
Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue stressed that this national success has represented continued efforts of every business, Vietnamese citizen and the Vietnam Customs. It has also demonstrated the rightness of the Party and State’s policy that determines export as an important drive for economic growth.
