Vietnam imports nearly 4,000 cars in one week

PSNews – In the segment of fewer than ten-seat car, 3,020 cars were imported into Vietnam, worth US$53.2 million, accounting for 77% of total imported cars of all kinds, a rise of 1,487 units compared to the previous week.

From September 21-27, Vietnam imported 3,915 completely built-up cars with a total value of nearly US$71 million much higher than the number of imported cars of previous weeks in 2018, according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

Of the imported vehicles, 2,263 were cars from Thailand and 1,440 were Indonesian ones, accounting for 99% of the total said number.

In the segment of fewer than ten-seat car, 3,020 cars were imported into Vietnam, worth US$53.2 million, accounting for 77% of total imported cars of all kinds, a rise of 1,487 units compared to the previous week.

Regarding accessories, enterprises spent US$66.2 million on import activities last week, lower than the previous week's figure of US$73.2 million. Source of imported accessories are quite diversified including Korea (US$15.9 million), Japan (US$12 million), Thailand (US$11.8 million), and China (US$10.3 million).
