Vietnam’s overseas investment reaches US$331 million in 9 months
Vietnamese businesses injected US$331 million into 122 projects abroad in the first nine months of this year, the Foreign Investment Agency reported.

According to the agency’s statistics, US$286 million was pumped into 99 new overseas projects, while the rest was earmarked for 23 existing ones.
As per the data, finance-banking attracted the most interest from Vietnamese investors, accounting for 32% of their total, or US$106 million.
Agro-forestry-fisheries came next with US$64 million (19.2%), followed by manufacturing and processing with US$46 million (14%) and others.
Vietnamese businesses invested in 30 countries and territories in the period with Laos taking the lead with US$95.1 million or 29%. Australia came next with US$46.7 million or 14% and Slovakia was third with US$35.9 million or 11%.
