Vietnam spends 65.2 million VND importing automobiles units

PSNews - Statistics from the General Department of Vietnam Customs shows that the total number of automobiles imported to Vietnam decreased 11.5 % in the week from September 28 to October 4, compared to the previous week.
In particular, the number of imported automobile units reached 3,465 totally costing 65.2 million USD, while the previous week saw 3,915 units imported worth 70.9 million USD.

Automobiles imported to Vietnam during that time were mostly manufactured in Thailand (2,122 units). There were also 952 units from Indonesia, 241 units from Mexico, and 111 units from China. In general, automobiles imported from these 4 markets accounted for 99% of the total automobiles imported to Vietnam from September 28 to October 4.

This was also one of the weeks that had seen the largest number of imported automobile units from Mexico and China since the beginning of 2018. The number of imported cars with 9 seats or fewer was 1,392 units worth 25.7 million USD, accounting for 40.2% of the total imported automobiles.

Besides, from September 28 to October 4, businesses also spent 62.9 million USD importing car parts and accessories.
