Vietnamese trade fair opens in Cambodia

The fair aims to contribute to strengthening the ties of trade and economic development between the two countries, the Secretary of State told the audience of nearly a thousand in attendance.
It is also a political activity celebrating the 49th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, with a goal of strengthening the relations of solidarity and friendship between the peoples of the two countries, he noted.
The trade fair has attracted some 130 Vietnamese exhibitors displaying their wares in more than 200 booths showcasing a wide variety of clothing, footwear, handicraft items, electronics, and agriculture related products and processed foods over a 10,000 square metre display area.
Several side-line activities will also be held during the four-day event, including a free cataract surgery program for social welfare beneficiaries from the two countries' military hospitals, gift offerings and arts programs.
