100 typical specialties of Vietnam, foreign visitors should taste

PSNews - The Vietnam Record Organization (Vietkings) released 100 typical specialties of Vietnam on April 5. These dishes represent specialties of each province and city.

The record of the 100 typical Vietnamese specialties has resulted from Vietkings’ 5-year research project to seek and promote the Vietnamese cuisine, contributing to elevating the Vietnamese catering and tourism industries.

All dishes which have been recognized are familiar with Vietnamese people, and are also favorites of international visitors to Vietnam.

Hanoi – the capital of Vietnam has 4 recognized dishes, namely Pho (rice noodle with chicken or beef), La Vong fish cake, Bun cha (rice noodle with grilled pork or/and seafood and herbs), Thang noodle (rice noodle with chicken, pork, egg, herbs and spices) while  spring roll, Banh Mi and broken rice with fresh vegetables and barbecued pork chop have been listed as the 3 specialties of Ho Chi Minh City.

Vietkings planned to hold a ceremony to present certificates to top 100 Vietnamese specialties on May 6, in Ho Chi Minh city.
