2017 Da Nang Kites Festival promises much uniqueness
PSNews-The 2017 Kite Festival, to be organized by the Da Nang Municipal Department of Culture and Sports, will make the city more exciting and attractive in terms of arts and culture, while help enrich spiritual life of Da Nang people, create a more exciting and joyful atmosphere for Da Nang beach during the sea tourist season, meeting an increasing demand for sightseeing and entertainment of tourists and people in Da Nang.
The 2017 Da Nang Kite Festival – Let’s Dreams Fly will take place on July 15 and 16 in My Ke beach, Da Nang. The festival will attract Kite Clubs from Ho Chi Minh City and the coordination of the Da Nang Kite Club.
The participation of experienced members in the festival promises spectacular performances of the kite art with various kite styles but identity of the Southern kite-flying culture. Dozens of kites with eye-catching colors, which are different in shapes and sizes and in harmony with the fresh and beautiful sea of Da Nang, will bring audiences a very enjoyable experience.
According to the organizers, the kite festival will be participated in by about 100 kites, of which the largest kite is about 50m in length. In addition to flying kites, artisans will demonstrate difficult, skillful and fancy techniques of the kite flying art to visitors.
Rokkaku is modeled after the traditional design of Japan. At the 2017 Kites Festival, 10 participants will play 10 Rokkaku kites in a competition, in which they can cut off each other’s rope or do whatever to make other kites fall down. The survivor in the fight will win the game.
