2018 spring calligraphy festival opens at Temple of Literature

The 2018 spring calligraphy festival opened at Ho Van in Van Mieu- Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature) on February 9 in Hanoi.

   On the opening day of the spring calligraphy festival, 63 calligraphers arrived at Ho Van at Van Mieu Quoc Tu Giam to prepare for the event.

 Crowds gathered at Ho Van to visit the calligraphy exhibition and request personalised brushworks from the calligraphers.

 This year, 63 highly skilled calligraphers were carefully selected to provide kind words in calligraphy to visitors.
 Visitors have the opportunity to talk to the artists about folk art and calligraphy.

 Calligrapher Tran Van Son who won the first prize in the calligraphy exhibition says his winning artwork aims to highlight the importance of talented people to a prosperous nation.
 35 outstanding calligraphic works are also on display at the event. Pictured is the prize-winning artwork by author Tran Van Son.
