PSNews – The Ho Chi Minh City Magic Festival 2019 has closed successfully on December 8 after three days of competition in Khanh Hoi Square, District 4.

The festival was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Cultural Center under the Ho Chi Minh Municipal Department of Culture and Sports.

The festival drew the participation of 70 magicians who are members of 11 magic clubs and cultural centers from Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces such as Lam Dong, Binh Duong, Ba Ria – Vung Tau and Can Tho.

They competed in two categories: stage magic and street magic.

The artists performed many impressive shows in spite of their use of familiar props such as pigeons, rabbits, handkerchiefs, cards, fans and sticks. Notably, many adventurous performances were also introduced to audiences.

The festival was a playground for magicians to exchange experiences and improve the quality of their performances to meet an increasing demand of audience.

This was also a chance for young talents to show their passions for magic and promote creativity in the field of magic performance.

At the closing ceremony, the organizers awarded first, second and third prizes to best performances of each category. The organizers also presented awards to potential artists and the youngest magician of the festival.
