Quang Nam is endowed by nature with the long coastline and many beautiful white sand beaches. Quang Nam is also home to a large number of cultural and natural heritage sites, many of which have been recognized as UNESCO heritage sites, such as Hoi An ancient town and My Son Sanctuary.
Within the framework of APEC Vietnam 2017, many important events that will take place in Quang Nam include the Finance Ministers' Meeting (October 18-21 in Hoi An) and the APEC Economic Leaders' Week (November 6-11 in Da Nang), with the participation of dozens of international delegations and about 1,500 foreign journalists.
Director of the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Dinh Hai said, “We’ve planned to organize tourist activities in Hoi An and My Son for Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Governors of Central Banks and their spouses.
Our Department and the Public Administrative Center will hold exhibitions to display photos, documents, publications and traditional products about the culture and tourism of Quang Nam.”
Under the plan, the Vietnamese and Japanese Cultural Spaces will be opened on November 11 on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street (Hoi An) with the presence of Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
Particularly, from November 6-11, Quang Nam also offer tours to 1,500 foreign journalists with the aim of showing the beauty of nature and people of the province.
