“Balade en France” festival opens in Hanoi

PSNews – The biggest French culinary festival in Vietnam will once again be held in Hanoi on January 10-12.

The event, which is co-hosted by the French Embassy in Vietnam and the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee, will take place in Ly Thai To Flower Garden and around the Ho Guom pedestrian area.

Named “Balade en France” (Walk in France), the festival gather 40 booths representing typical French dishes, such as traditional crepes, mulled wine, cheese, syrups.

In addition to the food space, there are also a number of booths of from domestic enterprises and NGOs  featuring Vietnamese traditional Lunar New Year’s specialties, Vietnamese lacquer paintings as well as France tourism and France education at “Balade en France.”

“Balade en France,” which will be opened at 7.30 pm on January 10, shows the close cooperation between France and Vietnam.

“We have modeled French art works such as the Eiffel Tower, Pond des Arts”, said French Ambassador to Vietnam Nicolas Warnery.

“I hope that the festival will not only be an interesting music party but also a true experience for visitors, as you’re walking in France”, he said.
