Book on Indian great leader Gandhi released in Hanoi

PSNews -The Vietnamese version of "The Essence of Hinduism" written by Mohandas Karamchand Gandi (M.K.Gandhi) - a great hero and talented leader of India, was introduced on October 2nd in the workshop "Mahatma Gandhi: The Saint from Gujarat."

The book, complied by V.B. Kher, was presented in Vietnam by the Indian Embassy in Vietnam in coordination with the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences to give a deep insight into the great personality of M.K.Gandhi.

 The 400-page book is divided into five sections, delineating M.K.Gandhi's philosophy of life saying that the truth does not exist alone but it must be accompanied by love and compassion. On this basis, Gandhi conducted political activities and inspired millions of people.

The Vietnamese translation of "The Essence of Hinduism" is part of the Ministry-level research project sponsored by VASS, themed "Understanding Hinduism and Hinduism in Vietnam". This is also a practical activity to celebrate the 148th birth anniversary of M.K. Gandhi (October 2 1869-2017) and 45th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-India diplomatic relations (1972-2017).

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (M.K.Gandhi) is the great leader and hero of India. He is well-known for his non-violence principles. In 2017, the United Nations adopted a Resolution to mark his birth (October 2) as the International Non-Violence Day.

In recent years, M.K. Gandhi has become popular in Vietnam as a number of books about his life have been published.
