Book on Smart City written by Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh introduced

PSNews – The University of Civil Engineering and the Ministry of Public Security jointly held an event on October 21 to release the book “Building Up and Governing Smart Cities: Ensuring Security, Social Welfare and Safety Indicators in the 4th Industrial Revolution”.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security presenting the book to leaders of the University of Civil Engineering.

The book was written by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security.

At the event, on behalf of the University of Civil Engineering, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Duy Hoa, its Rector warmly welcomed Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh and the participating delegation of the Ministry of Public Security.

Speaking at the event, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh gave an overview of the book, including the basic concepts of Smart City as well as the tools and adaptive indicators to manage and evaluate smart cities.

The book made references to various results of research, surveys, and assessments of international researcher projects on smart city building and development.

The book also provides approaches for urban planners to build and develop smart city.

Within the event, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh also answered a number of questions about managing a smart city while ensuring indicators of security, welfare and safety and sustainable community development.
