Broadway play “Lend me a tenor” to hit HCMC stage
"Lend Me A Tennor" by Ken Lduwig is a famous comedy that received 3 Tony Awards and 4 Drama Desk Awards.
The comedy is about the world well-known tenor Tito Merelli. On the night before his important performance, Tito passed out after mixing wine with a huge dose of tranquilizers. Believing that the divo is dead, the excitable opera manager taps his assistant Max to pretend to be Merelli so that the show can go on. But Merilli is still alive and the mistaken identity causes much laughter.
Dragonfly Theatre is a professional English language theatre based in Ho Chi Minh City, consists of multi-national directors and actors. "Lend Me A Tenor" is the first Broadway comedy that Dragonfly Theatre performs in Vietnam.
The play will be performed in English with Vietnamese subtitles.
The performances will take place on November 24-26 and December 1-3 in SOUL Convention Complex, 216 Pasteur Street in District 3, HCMC.
