Chinese artists win international art festival in Da Nang
Artists Liu Ruili and Zhang Yuying from China won the A prize of an art festival for foreigners held in the central city of Da Nang on December 8 and 9.

Topping the individual category, the Chinese artists got VND5 million (US$215) in cash. Meanwhile, a team from the Ba Na Service Cable Car JSC secured the A prize in the group category, pocketing VND10 million.
There were also two B, four C, and two consolation prizes.
The festival attracted 22 musical, musical theatre, folk art and magic performances staged by hundreds of professional and non-professional artists and actors. The candidates, from different countries like Russia, the US, France, Australia, and the Republic of Korea, are currently living in Da Nang.
Nguyen Thi Hoi An, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture and Sports, said the performers brought diverse and well-prepared shows to the event, leaving good impression on the arts council and audiences.
The department organised the festival in a bid to promote international friendship and improve the cultural life of local residents.
