Con Son-KiepBac festival features traditional folk games

PSNews - The Con Son-Kiep Bac Spring Festival 2017 kicked off in the northern province of Hai Duong on February 12 or the 16th day of the first lunar month with the participations of thousands of tourists.

Running from February 12-19, the annual festival aims to commemorate the 683rd death anniversary of monk Huyen Quang, who was the third founder of the Truc Lam Zen sect. The special feature of the festival is that various interesting traditional activities, including a clay fire-cracker contest, are held here.

This years, according to the Hai Duong Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, nearly 250 contestants of the 8 communes, with long history of making clay fire-crackers, of An Duc, NInh Hoa, Tan Huong, Quyet Thang of the Ninh Giang District; Minh Duc, Quang Khai, Tu Ky district and Duc Xuong commune of the GiaLoc district, competed in the traditional folk contest.
