Cultural activities celebrate Dien Bien Phu Victory

On the occasion of the 63th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 -2017), sport and cultural activities were held in Dien Bien Phu city, attracting many local people and visitors.

On May 6 evening, at 7-5 square, the art performance entitled “Resounding Dien Bien epic” was held, praising the land and people of Dien Bien Phu and General Vo Nguyen Giap.
This event has clearly reflected the long-term struggle of the people, reminding spectators of great sacrifices made by many heroes fighting to death in the resistance war for national independence.
In addition, on May 7 morning, at the Dien Bien Phu Victory Monument, many folk activities such as tug of war and spinning tops were held, attracting many people and creating an exciting and joyful atmosphere.
Earlier, the Dien Bien Phu Municipal Police mobilized hundreds of officers and soldiers to ensure absolute safety for leaders, local people and tourists during the celebration.
