The band DER RINGER is one of Germany’s rising stars in music, leading the billboard lists of numerous music magazines. From October 24th to December 6th, the quintet from Hamburg is touring all over Vietnam and 5 other Asian countries!

The five boys are between 25-29 years old and the representatives of a digital generation: Their sound is as haunting and loud as it is delicate and emotional, fluctuating somewhere between Indie, Pop, and Punk, accompanied by lyrics that deal with the question what it means to live in a world as technoid as ours. It is a sound that makes digital hearts beat faster.

In addition to a number of concerts, the five musicians also have the chance to get in close touch with various learners of German from PASCH-schools and universities of the respective countries during various meet-and-greets organized by the Goethe-Institut.

The band starts their tour on the 24th of October 2017 in Hanoi before travelling to Danang, Hue, Ho Chi Minh city, the Philippines, China, South Korea, Japan, and Mongolia. Their music is both an expression of our time and a peek into the future, pinpointing the zeitgeist of our generation like no one has before. Their lyrics are metaphors and instruments, telling the stories of a life where all things digital have become second nature.

DER RINGER first stepped into the spotlight four years ago when they released their first EP “Das Königreich liegt unter uns”. In April 2016, after the release of their second record “Glücklich”, Torben Hodan from the Diffus music magazine stated that the band was one of the most “exciting alternative German bands of the hour.” At the end of January 2017, the band released their first album “Soft Skills” under the famous Berlin-based record label Staatsakt, receiving lots of praise from the German press.
