Da Lat welcomes 100,000 tourists in 3 first days of 2017
PSNews-The number of tourists visiting the Central Highland province of Lam Dong reached approximately 100,000 from December 30, 2016 to January 2, 2017, said Mr. Hoang Ngoc Huy, Head of the Tourism Management Sub-division, the Lam Dong provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Particularly, the number of stay-over tourists hit 45,814, of which foreign tourists were 7,145. The figure of stay-over tourists saw a 7% decrease compared to the same period last year as Lam Dong organized the 6th Flower Festival at the same time last year.
One-to-5 star hotels operated at 95% of their capacity while other accommodation facilities also reached 80-90% of their capacity. Costs of services during the New Year also rose sharply.

Prices for one-two star hotels also increased from 50 to 100% while that of other types of accommodation facilities for tourist (motels, houses with rooms for rent or tourist villas)jumped from 50 to 150%, and the high-quality hotels rose from 20 to 40%.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, the increases in prices had been declared to the tax authorities, publically listed and reported to travel agents and tourists before through leaflets and their websites from the beginning of the year.
