The Italian team walked away with the first prize worth US$10,000, while the Australian team came second.
The festival spanned nearly two months under the theme “Shining with Mable Mountains” with the participation of eight teams from the UK, Australia, Austria, Switzerland, China, Japan, Italy and host Vietnam.
Besides the key part being the five nights of firework displays, the festival featured numerous activities, such as a street festival with nine uniquely designed floats, a cuisine space with over 500 dishes bearing each country’s specific traits as well as other enticing and jubilant events.
The firework festival was held annually from 2008 until 2013, then biennially from 2015. Teams from the US and Italy have won twice, while Canada, China and France each clinched the title once.
