The central coastal city of Da Nang will set up a new pedestrian zone with a night market near Tran Thi Ly Bridge. The night market will sell goods, souvenirs and food while the remainder of the pedestrian zone will be used to hold cultural and entertainment activities.
Under the project submitted to the city's people committee by the Hai Chau District People Committee on February 18, the pedestrian zone will cover an area of more than 5 hectares of Bach Dang street and some additional areas along the eastern bank of the Han River.
The night market will have both fixed and mobile stalls showcasing street food, drinks, souvenirs and other goods.
In addition, there will be an art performance space, an event hall, entertainment area and a playground for kids.
The new pedestrian zone will operate since 6pm to 2am on the next day. The Hai Chau District People Committee is still working on the project and finance.
