Danang Museum to hold Tet market session

In celebration of the Lunar New Year (Tet), the Danang Museum will organize a Tet market session in its garden on January 26, offering visitors, especially foreigners and children, a chance to gain hands-on experience in a traditional wet market in the context of Tet.

Visitors will be able to learn about a variety of local specialties such as Nam O fish sauce, Ba Lieu sesame cakes, Tuy Loan rice paper, and farm produce of Co Tu ethnic minority people.

There will be stands selling traditional delicacies of Co Tu people from Quang Nam Province and rural cuisines of central Vietnam.

Visitors will be taught to make to he (toy figurine), banh chung (stuffed sticky rice cake), calligraphy, coconut jam, and non la (conical hat) and heo dat (piggy bank) decoration.

They can also take part in exciting folk games such as keo co (tug of war), o an quan (mandarin square capturing), nhay bao bo (bag jumping), and banh dua (bamboo jacks). The Tet market session is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
