Danang Summer Destination 2018 blooms into life

The event, organized by the Danang Department of Tourism, is taking place in Bien Dong Park, Son Tra peninsula and along the Han River. 

The annual Danang Summer Destination 2018 is taking place in the central city of Danang from June 16-20 with many meaningful activities to attract more visitors.

The event includes many cultural and sports activities such as boat racing, parachuting, Kayaking, a chef’s competition, performance bartending, a Yoga festival day, the Danang pop-rock band festival, and folk art programmes.

In addition, tourists will have the chance to enjoy festival and tourism events including boat decorating, a photo exhibition on Danang, souvenir gift booths, a beer festival, cuisine festival, kite festival and a Fun Beach festival.

The event includes many cultural and sports activities .

In what promises to be a highlight of the festival, a beach cinema will be set up for the first time to screen movies on tourism and the beautiful landscapes of Vietnam to audiences for free.

Other events will take place on beaches along Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, including activities on environmental protection, entertainment activities such as Bai Choi (folk singing) and art programmes.

The event includes many cultural and sports activities.

The 2018 summer holiday festival with its many innovations will contribute to the creation of recreational activities serving tourists and promoting marine tourism products in Danang, helping turn it into a city of events and festivals.

The city received more than 3.2 million visitors, including around 1.3 million foreigners and over 1.8 million domestic tourists, during the first five months of 2018, a year-on-year rise of 30.4%.
