Delicious dishes gathered at Southern Culinary Festival

• HCM City festival features regional specialities

This is seen as an opportunity for visitors to enjoy three different culinary styles of the Central and the Central Highlands Region, Ho Chi Minh City, and Eastern South and South West.

Besides, an old style of the rural Nam Bo (South) market, performances of traditional arts, folk games, multi-sensory art exhibition and food talks will also be held during the event.

The 7th Southern Culinary Festival officially opened on May 24 in Dam Sen Park, Ho Chi Minh City, featuring over 250 dishes at 70 pavilions.

During the festival, there will be a cooking contest for participating units, a fruit sculpture competition and a contest for the most beautiful and impressive pavilion.

In particular, the highlight of this year's festival is the Saigon street food "old and present", which is to demonstrate dishes familiar with many people and reminding them of their childhood.The festival runs until May 28.
