The Quang Nam Provincial Information and Communications Department on April 23 in collaboration with the Dong Giang District People's Committee held an exhibition of valuable documents themed "Vietnam’s Hoang Sa and Truong Sa Archipelagos – Historical and Legal Evidence."

On display at the exhibition were maps, documents and other printed materials that are part of the historical and legal evidence originating from Vietnam and other countries around the world, including China, confirming Vietnam’s long-lasting sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos.

The exhibits also demonstrated that the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos, which are inseparable parts of Vietnam, have been closely connected to generations of the Vietnamese people, controlled by the Vietnamese governments over a period of more than 400 years peacefully and uninterruptedly in accordance with international law.

The exhibition once again affirmed the rightful stance of Vietnam, helped raise solidarity and responsibility among the Vietnamese people both at home and overseas in protecting Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos.

The event also helped international friends, including Chinese people, to understand the historical truth as well as the legitimate aspirations of the Vietnamese people in maintaining peace and stability in East Sea and in the region for the country’s development.

The event will run until April 25.
