Each year, the local authorities and people of Bao Yen district hold this festival to remind the contributions of "Chua Bau" (brothers of Vu Van Uyen and Vu Cong Mat)  in reclaiming land, developing and protecting Bao Yen area under the dynasty of Le.

In particular, the unique activity of this year's festival was the "Hau dong" performance or "Mother Goddess worship religion", which was recognized as the 11th Vietnamese intangible cultural heritage of humanity in 2016.

Folk artisian Hoang Tien Hung had the honor to perform this activity during 3 hours in front of thousands of people.

In addition, young people experienced and played many folk games, such as tug of war, con throwing (a Vietnamese traditional game, in which players throw a sacred ball through the up-hung ring) and Chinese chess.
