First ASEAN-Japan Music Festival takes place in Hanoi
PSNews - The first ASEAN-Japan Music Festival featured top music stars from Japan and member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

A press conference to announce the event, themed “Prayer for Peace,” was organized on July 27 with the presence of leaders of Vietnam Television (VTV) and Mr. Sugi Ryotaro, Vietnam – Japan and Japan-Vietnam Special Ambassador.
The festival was initiated by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on “ASEAN – Japan Day”, and strongly advocated by leaders of the ASEAN countries at the Japan – ASEAN Summit 2018.
The festival aims to honor cultures of the regional nations, which are rich in traditions and have unique characteristics but still share similar features of Asian culture. The music event also aims to heighten the spirit of solidarity and unity, cooperation and development of the Asian culture for the sake of peace in the region and world.
Through music performances, the value of peace will be spread, contributing to promoting friendship and development of Japan and ASEAN countries.
The event will be jointly held on July 28 at the National Convention Center by VTV and the Japan Foundation Asia Center.
Artists and groups, such as Fakhrul Razi from Brunei, Andien from Indonesia, the NEW & JIEW of Thailand; Vietnamese singers Noo Phuoc Thinh, Dong Nhi and Trong Hieu; along with Japanese performers Exile Atsushi, Koda Kumi, Miura Daichi, will entertain audience at the show.
