First Great Festival to take place in Hanoi

On the occasion of the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the UK and Vietnam and 25th anniversary of the British Council in Vietnam, the very first GREAT Festival will be held in Hanoi on November 9-11, around Hoan Kiem lake.

The GREAT Festival is considered as key activity in the chains of event named “Inspire Me” which will be held by the collaboration of the British Embassy in Vietnam and the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee, regarding many fields such as education, business, trade, science, creativity, health, tourism, culture, etc.

Visitors will be able to enjoy the latest exhibitions and technology shows from the UK, facial paintings, British cuisines, tea parties and English music contest, UK villages. There are also interactive games and locations for photos with iconic UK symbols such as the red phone booth.

UK Ambassador to Vietnam Gareth Ward said: "This will be an opportunity for people to enjoy the GREAT Festival in the heart of Hanoi. The participation of a large number of British units in many areas of the festival will show UK's image with creativity, inspiration and dynamic".
