As part of the Vietnam Connection Music Festival, this performance aims at celebrating the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and France. The first night will take place in Danang on August 17. Later on, Arod Quarter will perform in Ho Chi Minh city and Hanoi on August 19 and August 25, respectively.
About the Arod Quartet, this time will be the first performance in Vietnam of the group of four including Jordan Victoria, Alexander Vu, Tanguy Parisot and Samy Rachid.
Established in 2013, Arod Quarter came to the attention on the international stage when they won First Prize at the prestigious ARD International Music Competition in Munich, having already taken First Prize at the Carl Nielsen Chamber Music Competition in Copenhagen in 2015 and at the FNAPEC European Competition (Paris) in 2014.
In 2017, it is appointed “BBC New Generation Artist” for the 2017 to 2019 seasons, and ECHO Rising Star for the 2018-2019 season.
For his part, Nguyen Viet Trung was considered the Golden Pianist, the second Dang Thai Son of Vietnam. He has won many international awards, such as the first prize in the Emmy Alberg competition in Lodz in 2005, a special prize in the Chopin competition in Mazowiecki, the Golden Note for the best performer of Mozart compositions in 2006, the second prize in the Chopin International Competition for "Chopin for the Youngest" in 2010.
He is one of eight young pianists invited from all over the world by Professor Andrea Bonatta to perform in the Junior Academy Eppan program. Trung is now in Poland to continue his study program at the Warsaw Conservatory.
