PSNews - The French Cultural Center L'Espace will hold a launching ceremony of the French edition of "Ho Chi Minh campaign in the heart of Paris" on December 17 with the title "La Campagne Ho Chi Minh au cœur de Paris".

According to L'Espace, "La Campagne Ho Chi Minh au cœur de Paris" by diplomat Vo Van Sung had been introduced by the The Gioi Publishers on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of southern liberation and national reunification (April 30).

The book in French is published based on the original text of the author's first memoir published in 2005, in order to preserve the historical authenticity of the Vietnamese original. It was translated by translator Nguyen Dac Nhu Mai, Doctor of Science and History, a Vietnamese female intellectual in France.

The book is a memoir of Ambassador Vo Van Sung, former General Representative of the Vietnamese Government in France, Permanent member of the Vietnamese side in the Le Duc Tho - Kissinger secret negotiations in 1971-1973, one of the five official delegates of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam delegation at the signing ceremony of the historic Paris Peace Accords on January 21, 1973, and the first Ambassador of Vietnam to France.

It is not only a rare historical document about Vietnamese people, the movement of overseas Vietnamese and international friends in France in the period after the signing date of Paris Agreement was signed in 1973 until 1975, but also a record of the deep feelings of overseas Vietnamese and sincere friendship in a good, effective and diversified interaction between international friends and Vietnam.

The memoirs were first published by the Quan doi Nhan Dan (People's Army) Publishing House in 2005 in commemorating the 30th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Campaign's victory, and then reprinted twice in 2012 and 2015.

As planned, L'Espace in collaboration with the The Gioi PublishersPublishers and the Vietnam-France Friendship Association (AAFV) will co-host a seminar on the book ""La Campagne Ho Chi Minh au cœur de Paris" on December 17.

Former Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Dy Nien; former Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien, Mr. Pierre Darriulat, member of the French Academy of Sciences and Mr. Tran Doan Lam, director of The Gioi Publishing House.
