German Festival 2018 to take place in Hanoi

PSNews - On October 30, German Embassy held a press conference to announce that the German Festival 2018 will take place on November 2-3, at Ly Thai To Statue Square in Hanoi, with the aim of promoting image and culture of Germany to Vietnamese people. 

According to announcement of German Embassy, this even is jointly held by the German Embassy in Hanoi, the Hanoi People’s Committee, the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK), the German Academic Exchange Service, Goethe Institute and the Central Agency for Schools Abroad (ZfA).

German Festival 2018 aims to promote the image of Germany- a partner of Vietnam by introducing activities of Germany's political and cultural organizations and companies operating in Vietnam as well as their Vietnamese partners in order to promote cultural dialogue and seek further cooperation opportunities between the two countries in the future.

The festival includes art performances by Vietnamese and German music bands, folk games and a photo exhibition on the Buddy Bears art project, German-Vietnam relationship and a series of films featuring German culture and tourism at the festival. Additionally, the festival will also provide visitors with information about universities and vocational training in Germany and bilateral cooperation on archaeology and cultural conservation.

German Ambassador in Vietnam Christian Berger said that the highlight of the event will be the 10th anniversary of the implementation of the “Schools: Partners for the Future” (PASCH) initiative, with a major focus on teaching German language as a foreign language in Vietnam.

On this occasion, German companies and organizations are about to display their products at 31 pavilions and introduce German cuisine to visitors.
