The Giang Brothers, Giang Quoc Co and Giang Quoc Nghiep, were honoured with certificates of merits from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for their impressive performance on the UK television talent show, Britain’s Got Talent 2018.

Although the duo finished in fourth place and didn’t win the show, their performance on the final night on June 3 received a standing ovation from British audiences and inspired national pride among Vietnamese audiences.

The daredevil gymnasts also established themselves as the first Vietnamese representatives to make it through to the final round of the show.

Quoc Co, 34, and Quoc Nghiep, 29, are currently working in the Ho Chi Minh City Circus Association.

The pair have bagged many remarkable prizes, including the Silver Lion award at the 13th China Wuqiao International Circus Festival 2011, the Grand Prix prize and a bronze medal at the International Circus Festival 2011 in Cuba, and a Silver Bear prize at the 2012 International Circus Festival in Russia.

In December 2016, the brothers set a Guinness World Record with their head-to-head balancing act by scaling 90 stairs in 52 seconds on the steps of Girona Cathedral in Spain.

The Giang Brothers were presented with the Meritorious Artist titles for their outstanding contributions to the development of Vietnam’s circus.
