The owner of this giant pumpkin garden is Mr. Nguyen Dinh, residing at Vong Lam Vien street, ward No. 8, Da Lat city, Lam Dong province.
Mr. Dinh said that, this kind of pumpkin originates in the US. A pumpkin can weigh hundreds of kilograms when growing in suitable natural conditions.
Last year, Dinh's family decided to spend 150 square meters to grow 6 pumpkin plants. After that, they grow very fast and their leaves have the size of a large tray.
After 6 months, the 6 plants have 6 giant pumpkins, weighing from 50 to 80 kg each, which attracts a large number of visitors to see and take photos of the giant pumpkins.
Ms. Nguyen Thu Huong, a visitor from Ho Chi Minh City, said that, it was the first time she and her friends had seen giant pumpkins. "Its size is beyond my imagination. A pumpkin is even bigger and heavier than an adult. It is surprising", Huong said.
Currently, Dinh's family has decorated the garden to protect the pumpkins and attract more visitors. Although the investment in growing the pumpkins and decoration cost of the garden are quite high, Dinh's family still offer free admission to all visitors.
