Hanoi Opera House opens for visitors
PSNews-The Hanoi Opera House Management Board in cooperation with the National Administration of Tourism and Department of Arts Performing officially welcomed visitors of the first-ever tour to the Opera House on September 7.

On the first day of the opening, many visitors from various provinces arrived in Hanoi, in the hope of visiting a famous center of music to enjoy its unique architecture and art performances.
Of visitors to the Opera House, there were a number of foreign tourists. They all enjoyed the tour and art performances. This has been a good sign for a tourist destination of Hanoi.
Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet, Director of the Management Board of the Hanoi Opera House, said that the tour named “History, architecture and traditional arts” at the cultural and architectural building of the capital city opens from 10h30 to 12h on Mondays and Fridays every week, costing 400,000 VND per person but a 50% discount given to students and pupils.
The visit will be divided into 2 main parts:
Part one, visitors will learn about of the Opera House’s construction and architectural style, see its original design by the French architects; visit the main hall, stairs, the auditorium, the seating sections; and enjoy the tea in the mirror room listening to the story about bullet holes dating from December 1946.
In addition, visitors can see a huge collection of documents and photos on major events taking place inside and outside the Hanoi Opera House since its construction.
In the second part, visitors will enjoy the show “Hon Viet” (Vietnam’s Soul), consisting of special art performances like solo monochord, flute concerto, Tuong and chau van performances and Vietnamese puppetry.
