Hanoi students actively participating in International Non-professional Line Dance Festival
Line Dance is an art form of community cultural activities. It originates from basic dance moves depicting people’s work and daily life. The dance is often performed at festivals of ethnic groups.
The 2018 International Non-professional Line Dance Festival is the sixth edition hosted by Hanoi. Via the event, the organizers of the Hanoi Municipal Youth Union organization, the Hanoi Youth Employment Service Center popularize standardized non-professional dances and promote artistic creativity among the youth.
12 qualified teams selected at the preliminary rounds from non-professional dance clubs and schools in Hanoi attended the qualifying round that held in Hanoi Youth Sport Center.
After three exciting sections of the competition, the organizers selected 6 teams with highest scores to compete at the final round.
The selected include the Mechanical Club of Hanoi University of Science and Technology; Luong The Vinh High School; Kinh Bac International School; Quang Trung High School; the Rainbow Club of Vietnam Youth Academy; and Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
The final night of the International Non-professional Line Dance Festival will be held on November 10 at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
