PSNews - Visiting Hanoi these days, tourists will have chance to admire Hoa Ban (Bauhinia Flowers), a type of flowers which look like soft and gentle clouds wrapping majestic mountains and hills from the northwestern region.
Tourists and local people can easily find the flowering trees on Bac Son and Hoang Dieu Streets.
Bauhinia flowers do not have a scent. Each flower consists of 4-5 wings, pink pistil and purple veins.
Bauhinia flowers first appeared in Hanoi in the early 1960s as the planners tried planting bauhinia trees on several trees and parks.
Bauhinia flowers are originally from the north-western region and close to the spiritual life of Thai ethnic minority people.
The flower beautifies the streets of Hanoi with its soft pink and purple hues in spring
Bauhinia flowers symbolise sincerity, faithfulness and constancy in love.
Additionally, Thai people also use wings of Bauhinia flowers to make rustic yet delicious dishes
Many locals and visitors want to capture beautiful photos with this type of flowers.
